The Holy Ghost declares in Isaiah 5:20-23, “20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! 21 Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight! 22 Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink: 23 Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!” This is being seen in America and around the world today.
Malachi 2:17 says, “17 Ye have wearied the LORD with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied him? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of the LORD, and he delighteth in them; or, Where is the God of judgment?” And, Malachi 3:15 tells us, “15 And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered”. God does not delight in, or think highly of, those that do evil. Repentance toward God is commanded. And, if it does not occur, God will ultimately bring judgment. And, no people or nation is exempt from this.
What is described in these verses is definitely occurring in the world at an accelerated pace. But, it is also being seen in what is called the church. The Greek word for church is ecclesia which means called out ones. Called out means to be separated or not mixed in. The true church is in this world but not of it. We are told to come out from among them and be separate and not to touch the unclean thing. Jesus said that the gates of hell shall not prevail against His church (His called out ones). When you are called out, you will not desire the things of this world. But, your desire will be of Him.
Second Peter 3:17 admonishes us, “17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness”. Second Corinthians 6:14 commands us, “14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?” Our mindset should be that of Isaiah 26:8-9 which says, “8 Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O LORD, have we waited for thee; the desire of our soul is to thy name, and to the remembrance of thee. 9 With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness”.
We, the called out ones of the Lord, say, “Yes and Amen to the glory of God”. Hallelujah!
