When we quote Martin Luther, the reformer, we will do so over his racist diatribes when he wrote,“The Jews and Their Lies”. We realize that we will tick off many Protestants. And when we quote Martin Luther King Jr.’s socialist statements, writings, and affiliations, we realize that it ticks off many in the Civil Rights Movement.
But when people get ticked off without showing us if we misquoted the facts, the problem is not the messenger, the problem is the person who is always getting “ticked off”.
The civil rights movement in its current form is a communist movement. It is led today by the likes of Jesse Jackson, who was one of MLK’s closest disciples; Jackson was with MLK when the latter died on a balcony in Memphis. When it comes to Jackson, there is a question we should all ask: Is Jackson carrying on MLK’s agenda or is he betraying it? If it’s the former, MLK was a communist. If it’s the latter, Jackson should be ostracized by those who hold MLK up. If MLK should be judged by his fruits, why is Jesse Jackson a prominent face in today’s civil rights movement?
My respect for the Civil Rights Movement does not depend on my respect for Martin Luther King, Jr.’s socialist views.
My respect for the Protestants and their love for the Scripture does not depend on my respect for Martin Luther the reformer.
I have critiqued Popes, but this does not mean that I hate Catholics. Most Catholics examine the quotes and not the messenger.
This also goes for every Muslim. My critique of Muhammad, their prophet, does not mean that I disrespect every Muslim.
But I could understand Muslims getting “ticked off”, since Muhammad after all is their Prophet; they believe that he was sent by Allah Almighty.
What I cannot comprehend is the many die-hard Protestants and the many die-hard Civil Rights Activists. These write us more often and are always “ticked off” much more than the die-hard Catholics or capitalists.
And I ask: Are the “Martin Luthers” merely men? Or are they much more than men? Perhaps I am lost here, so please guideth me.
But if I run my website on the basis of what “turns on” or what “ticks off” people, then I would turn into a politician who is so worried about not offending anyone that he says nothing of substance.
Why then do so many of these complainers always seem to be complaining about politicians when they themselves are also calling everyone to become one?
At any rate, here is what one who is much wiser than all the Muhammads and the Luthers of this world has to say. It is a she, her name is Wisdom and she beats the hell out of “I had a Dream” speech. She had made this speech almost three millennia ago:
“Out in the open Wisdom calls aloud, she raises her voice in the public square; on top of the wall she cries out, at the city gate she makes her speech: “How long will you who are simple love your simple ways? How long will mockers delight in mockery and fools hate knowledge?”
God sent Wisdom and here is what He says to these folks that are simpletons and do not acquire knowledge:
“I in turn will laugh when disaster strikes you; I will mock when calamity overtakes you—when calamity overtakes you like a storm, when disaster sweeps over you like a whirlwind, when distress and trouble overwhelm you. “Then they will call to me but I will not answer; they will look for me but will not find me, since they hated knowledge and did not choose to fear the Lord.”
Even the “power of prayer,” that everyone preaches about will be rendered obsolete to the fool.
And getting “ticked off” will do no good, for God does not listen to them.
P.S. – Even the lovable dope Archie Bunker knew what the civil rights movement is all about. I’m sure my posting this clip will ‘tick off’ someone.
