“All he’s wanted for decades is to see his country win,” the beginning of the latest Donald Trump viral video says.
The “Donald J.Trump Long Road to the White House 1980-2015” video gives us yet another glimpse into the man behind the myth and how he displays his philanthropy and patriotism when the cameras aren’t rolling.
During a brief interview in 1980, Donald Trump was first publicly asked if he would like to one day become the president of the United States.
“I really don’t think I would run, but I would like to see somebody as the president who would do a good job and there are very capable people in this country,” Donald Trump said.
True to form, Trump did not say he wanted to see a “man” who would do a good job or note there are many capable “men” who could run for the highest office in the land.
Donald Trump has always judged his workers and executives on their grit, capabilities, and results, and not on their gender.
He was the first to hire a woman as a construction manager and has a female majority serving as executives in the Trump Corporation.
Hillary Clinton’s record of hiring women and paying them equal to men is abysmal.
When asked during the old interview why he wouldn’t dedicate his life to public service, Trump said because politics is a a “very mean life.”
The man who will become the next President of the United States did go on to state he definitely would not hesistate to dedicate his life to America if that time ever arose. Well, Donald, we need you, and you did not hesitate to answer the call!
